As a specialist in emergency lighting, Signtex is proud to be the holder of key patents in its field and has developed some of the most innovative products in the market, including the first low voltage central power system for exit signs, which for the first time enables facilities to easily meet all requirements of NFPA Life Safety Code 101.
Most recently, Signtex has introduced a Universal Central Power System capable of running all products, from exit signs consuming only ½ watt per sign, to recessed emergency fixtures of up to 150 watts.

Nickel–Metal Hydride (NiMH)
NiMH batteries can have two to three times the capacity of an equivalent size NiCd, and their energy density approaches that of a lithium-ion cell. Nickel–Metal Hydride batteries are good for high current drain applications because of their low internal resistance.
The disadvantage of NiMH batteries is their high rate of self-discharge. NiMH batteries typically lose 4% of their charge per day of storage. LSD NiMH batteries significantly lower self-discharge, but at the cost of lowering capacity by about 20%.
