DESCRIPTION


The ISL540 from IOTA is a UL Listed fluorescent emergency ballast that allows the same fixture to be used for both normal and emergency operation. In the event of a power failure, the ISL540 switches to the emergency mode and operates one of the existing lamps for 90 minutes. The unit contains a battery, charger, and inverter circuit in a single can. The ISL540 operates T5 and T8 lamps, including HO and 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps from 36-55 watts at an initial output of up to 1300 lumens for one lamp. The ISL540 utilizes AC output to ensure compatibility with new lamp technologies. The ISL540 delivers high performance in a slim design and is ideal for use in linear lighting fixtures where ballast compartment space is limited. The ISL540 is suitable for use in damp locations and in enclosed and gasketed fixtures.
