The LUCE-7ACTD consist of a high-temperature, maintenance free nickel-cadmium battery, charger and electronic circuitry contained in one 9.4” x 2.4” x 1.5” metal case with 2’ of flexible conduit at each end. A test/monitor plate with an LED indicator monitors the charger and battery. A single-pole test switch installation hardware are included. The emergency ballast is capable of operating one (1) or two (2) 8W-40W tubular fluorescent lamps; One (1) or two(2) 13W-42W CF lamps without integral starters at reduced illumination in the emergency mode for a minimum of 90 minutes (see Compatibility data on next page). The LUCE-7ACTD produces 300-750 lumens initial emergency light output, consumes 3.5W of input power, has a 14.4W hour battery capacity. Complies with emergency standards set forth by the current NEC and is UL Listed for installation on top of, or remote from the fixture.
The LUCE-7ACTD features a solid-state charging indicator light to monitor the charger and battery, a single-pole test switch, and installation hardware. Listed for installation inside, on top of, or remote from the fixture.
BATTERY: The LUCE-7ACTD emergency ballast uses a high-temperature nickel cadmium battery. Battery requires no maintenance, and has a life expectancy of 7 to 10 years (3.6V, 14.4 WH).
CIRCUIT: LUCE-7ACTD can be used with one 13 - 42W or two 13 - 39W (4- pin) twin, quad and triple twin-tube. It is also compatible with most 1, 2, 3, and 4-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. The LUCE-7ACTD is suitable for indoor locations and is not suitable for air handling heated air outlets or sealed & gasketed fixtures, including fixtures rated for wet or hazardous locations.
The LUCE-7ACTD comes standard in a 9.4” x 2.4” x 1.5” durable metal case with 2’ painted-white steel with flexible conduit at each end.
When AC power fails, The LUCE-7ACTD immediately switches to the emergency mode, operating one or two lamps at a high lumen output for a minimum of 90 minutes. When AC power is restored, The LUCE-7ACTD automatically returns to the charging mode. Depending on the number (one or two), wattage and type of lamps selected, the LUCE-7ACTD produces 300 to 750 lumens initial emergency light output. If two-lamp operation is selected, light output is evenly divided between the lamps for better distribution of emergency illumination.
UL and code compliance
The LUCE-7ACTD has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories in accordance with the standards set forth in UL 924, "Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment,” and is UL Listed for factory or field installation. Emergency illumination time exceeds the National Electrical Code (NEC), Life Safety Code (NFPA–LSC) and UL 90-minute requirements.
The LUCE-7ACTD series comes with a 3-year factory warranty. Deliberate damage, misuse, improper installation and/or application effectively cancel the warranty.
