NEMA 4X rated exit signs are ideal for use in hostile environments where dirt, dust, oil, water or corrosive elements such as salt, acids and alkalines are present. Units are built into a nema enclosure that is weather and corrosion resistant. Enclosures include a uniformly illuminated polycarbonate face and a rugged fiberglass housing with a special one-way venting system.
Construction
- Corrosion-resistant and impact-resistant thermoplastic housing
- Clear polycarbonate lens non-metallic screws
- Sealed and gasketed housing with integral with captive breather vent
- Multiple factory identified conduit entry locations 6” letters with 3/4” stroke width
- Chevron directional indicators can be easily removed as necessary
- Single or Double face versions available
- Includes mounting screws and hardware
- Red or green letters
- Industrial gray finish.
Electrical
- Dual voltage 120/277vAC. Rated for use in wet locations.
Lamps
- Long life, energy saving, ultra-bright LED lamps
- Red or Green
- signs consume less than 3 watts
- LED’s are connected in a series/parallel configuration such that the unlikely failure of one LED will affect no more than one other LED.
Battery
- Long life, maintenance-free, high performance nickel cadmium
- Designed to operate over a wider range of temperature conditions (32°F-100°F recommended operating range). Internal Heater (IH) option available for lower temperature ratings. Battery will operate sign for a minimum of 90 minutes in the event of a power outage.

- ETL Listed. NFPA 101 Life safety Code compliant
- NEC and OSHA compliant. Meets the State of Minnesota energy efficiency requirements. Energy Star compliant. Suitable for use in 0°-40°C (32°-104°F) temperature range. Internal heater option available for lower temperature range.
